I’m brand new to Home Assistant. Just set up everything last night and today. I’ve had no issues getting my Philips hue, Apple Home Kit, Switchbot, Thirdreality and Sonos products integrated. But it’s the Home Assistant voice that is giving me all the issues. I was able to get it added to Home Assistant, button controls set up. It wakes with voice commands, but doesn’t do anything. When I go to the section Assistants - add assistant. I get an error every time I try to create it…
“expected str for dictionary value @ data[‘conversation_language’]. Got None required key not provided @ data[‘conversation_engine’]. Got None”
I’ve tried to google it, youtube video it, but just can’t seem to find what I’m missing.
Under conversation agent its set to Home Assistant.
Speech-to-text i have it set to faster-whisper
Text-to-speech is set to Piper tried all the different voice options.
Even tried the switch on and off for the Prefer handling commands locally, I get the same error.
Any help/point me in the direction or what to look for would be greatly appreciated.
I get the same error when trying to create new assistant. I realised there is already a assistant pre-created called Home Assistant. So, i just edited that one, pointing to speech-to-phrase and piper.
There is a screenshot with Conversation Agent and a language selection box. Than language selection box is missing when I try to use companion app for setup. I guess that is the error. When I use browser, its the same.
