I have already set up everything that is possible in a smart home. And the cornerstone is voice control. My dream is to get local home control, communication with the bot on any issues.
I used local llm for tts/stt and response generation. The results are quite good, but they do not reach home assistant cloud or openai in terms of speed and accuracy of responses.
To try voice control, I purchased home assistant voice preview edition. As a toy and an experiment - cool! I am glad that HA is developing in this direction. But to make my dream come true, I plan to take two or three jabra for different rooms.
And everything would work wonderfully if the Assist Microphone add-on could accept several devices at once. But no, it only works with one device. I am surprised that there are no intuitive solutions for the year of voice.
So, please help:
- how can I connect several Jabra so that each room has its own independent voice assistant
- is it possible to connect Jabra not via USB, but for example via Bluetooth. I have no idea how to extend USB to the room with the HA server
- any other tips / instructions on this topic
Thanks for any help
