Voice Assistant PE is not discovered

My Voice Assistant PE is not discovered by my HA instance/phone. I’m using HA Core 2025.12.2 and companion app (CA) on android 2025.11.4

I powered on the VA (warm white twinkle animation), but it is not discovered by CA. Things I’ve checked so far

  • :white_check_mark: Using latest HA and latest companion
  • :white_check_mark: Logged in as admin
  • :white_check_mark: Allowed all app permissions
  • :white_check_mark: PE factory reset
  • :white_check_mark: OS bluetooth can see the device

Actually I’m failing on STEP 3, have I missed something?

Hi, have looked in

Open your Home Assistant instance and show your integrations.

if the integration is found?
You might need to restart HA.

Which integration should I look for, ESPHome? I’ve already integrated an Apollo Air sensor which is based on ESPHome and it’s working. Or do you mean another integration?

I got it to work. For whatever reason my Android phone was not able to discover the PE, but switching to an iPhone was the solution. Weird, but now I’m happy
