Voice in multiple rooms

Could it be possible to have multiple voice devices in seperate rooms that work simultanious?

Someone’s just posted this.

Define… Simultaneous. That means different things to different people.

Well. I read that HA supports 1 microphone at a time. meaning If I have to devices in 2 different rooms, iwould have to activate manually the microphone from the room I am in. When I move a lot between de rooms this would not be convenient. I was thinking of purchasing 2 ā€œbeyerdynamic SPACEā€ devices.

It will listen on all mics. It cannot differentiate rooms yet on simultaneous activation. But honestly it hasn’t been an issue mine are far enough apart in teh house I don’t get simultaneous activation… Which is the issue… I ā€˜believe’ simultaneous activation is something they’re working on but I don’t have status.

Remember what it has now isn’t what it’ll have in 6mo. There is already a laundry list of stuff it does now jt didn’t at launch.

Thanks for your prompt reply. What brand do you have? Any recommandations?

Homeassistant Voice PE. Honestly I wouldn’t mess with anything else if you don’t like tinkering. There’s a couple others based onthe same tech if you’re very DIY but if you want latest features… That room isolation feature will hit the VPE first. It’s the reference device everyone else builds from for HA Assist
