My local language is not supported, so I need to use English for voice. This is fine and I can set up aliases for the devices as needed. However, the areas do not currently have aliases. This results in areas not recognized, since they are defined in local language.
Is there a workaround?
Support for adding aliases to zones seems to have been added in 2023.1 release (Add aliases to area registry items by emontnemery · Pull Request #84294 · home-assistant/core · GitHub).
Ah, thanks for this! The areas do in fact have aliases, if you go in through settings → areas. Not otherwise…
