Voice PE does not respond

I’ve recently had an issue where I don’t get a reply from the device. When I speak directly into the web browser, I get an audible reply through my laptop speakers as expected (see screenshot of interaction below).

However, when I ask the same question to Voice PE, I get the following result with the wake sound and LED lights, but no audible response.

I’m expecting this to be some sort of simple configuration issue, but I’ve really struggled to work out what’s going on and why I don’t hear anything. Any help to fix this would be much appreciated!

Sadly don’t have a solution but I have the exact same issue.

Has previously worked without issue and as far am I’m aware nothing around it has changed configuration wide.

As a short update, I contacted the support at Nabu Kasa who correctly pointed out that I had an incorrect local hostname on the network settings for Home Assistant. After remedying that, my Voice PE still does not work, but I do get 4 flashes of the red ring light at the moment it should talk back to me. I guess that’s some progress?

I’m currently awaiting a follow-up reply from their support…

A short update: I found the issue was caused by faster-whisper not working. I ended up removing and re-adding the faster-whisper service in Home Assistant and the Voice PE is now working again.

fwiw, I had the same problem, but it turned out that whisper and piper configure themselves on the primary LAN interface, and I’d installed Voice PE on my IOT network, and so everything was working on Voice PE, but there was no responce/answer from whisper/piper on the IOT network.

I had to factory reset Voice PE and reinstall it on the primary LAN for it to work.
