I had the Voice PE up and running per the standard installation method for a few months. Then, sometime in the last week, it started showing the warm white sparkling LED pattern. I factory reset it and tried to go through the installation process again, but had no luck. My phone finds the VPE and prompts me for an SSID and password. I enter them, and that begins an infinite loop of the phone saying that the VPE needs an acknowledgement, me pressing the button on the VPE, waiting a long 60 seconds, followed by another request to acknowledge. This continues forever. I have done the factory reset multiple times, and I have 2 2.4GHz LANs, and both have the same behavior.
Have you tried reinstalling the firmware?
No. I’ll try that.
That did it. It did take two tries (the first attempt failed). It’s integrated into Home Assistant now, but it only responds to 1 in 3 or 4 commands. That’s a different problem so I’ll close this one.
