Hi,
I purchased a Voice PE from Nabucasa back when they were first introduced. I hooked it up and got it working but ultimately decided to leave Alexa running at the time. Fast forward to about a week ago when I decided to dust the Voice PE off, load up any updates and have another go with it.
When I plugged it back in, HA ran a several updates before declaring it up to date. I then checked it out and it seemed to run okay using home assistant cloud. I have an openai account and was able to setup openai conversation as my conversation agent. This also seemed to work okay but with some latency. I decided to reinstall the Whisper integration and see if that had better latency. Unfortunately, whisper asks for an IP and port to connect to and when I enter my HA IP and 10700 I just get failed to connect. When I look in the HA dns log I find the following entry.
I’m wondering is the ‘refused’ errors might be part of my trouble. I have tried everything me and my AI partner can think of but trying to install whisper fails every time.
So here I am, I have worked on this for the better part of 4 days and am finally resorting to a call for help. If anyone has any idea what I should try next I’m all ears.
BTW…I’m running HAOS on an N100 manic with Core 2025.10.4, Supervisor 2025.10.0, OS 16.2 and Frontend 20251001.4.
