I just received my first HA Voice Preview Edition a couple of days ago. I am trying to set up some automations that should be using it to send tts messages for various triggers. However, I cannot determine the proper service to use to make it work. So far I have tried it with notify.media_player and media_player.play_media. Unless I made a typo somewhere and didn’t see it neither of those options work. Can someone help get me going with this new device?
Sounds like you are trying to make an announcement like “wash has finished”. This would be done through your tts service using tts.speak. Then target the media player entity associated with the VA.
