I’m moving all my devices from Smartthings to HA. I excluded from Smartthings and included on HA. The door/window sensor doesn’t seem to show up as the correct sensor type. It shows up as a light. How can I update it to show if the door is open or closed?
Isn’t it the Sensor state (Any) binary sensor? If so, you can just change it to a door type in its settings.
@freshcoast thank you for the reply. That was it! I’m new to HA and I wasn’t aware you can change the sensor type. This helped me with door/window sensor I was having the same issue with.
