Wall light switches with router function

Hi all

I am installing HA and want to control lights using Zigbee based light switches. I saw one from a company called “Moes” but Zigbee2MQTT says that it doesn’t have router functionality. I really need that to help increase coverage of various other sensors.

Is anyone able to advise on while switches have the ability to act as a router? I’ve been looking at: these(Aliexpress) as I need 2 and 3 way options as well, for example but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I am in the UK incase that helps?

-edit: Just to clarify I am after Zigbee wall light switches/buttons that have the router functionality.

You can’t go wrong with Shelly

Since when does Shelly have ZigBee ? I know they recently acquired qubino, and thus have Z-wave, but ZigBee is new to me.

Sorry I didn’t see the Zigbee requirement… Isn’t it better to not have to have a hub in the middle? Isn’t a device that will connect directly to HA natively be preferred over the extra overhead of a HA connecting to a hub to get to the device?

Mostly because getting wifi over the whole house is difficult with thick walls. Zigbee creating it’s own mesh network simplifies that without have to configure anything

Do you have neutral in your boxes ? Switches on batteries or without neutral don’t have routing capabilities.

I don’t think so but it isn’t hard to run one if needed

These are decent ‘in wall’ routers, and working with Zigbee2MQTT

About the same size as a Shelly 1 (in fact, I replaced some Shelly 1’s with those)
