I’m looking at buying a Samsung wall mounted air conditioner. air conditioner. There is the HACS integration
Samsung integration, I think it should work, but given the expense, I’ll have to hire an HVAC company to install it along with the purchase. So I’d like to have some certainty that I can control it through HA.

That software is a custom integration controlled by the owner of that repo you listed.
I suggest you ask questions there as well. Make sure the software is maintained and has recent updates, etc.
