Hi, i am looking for a (zigbee preferred) contact interface similiar to homematic HmIP-FCI6. I want to use it with my wall-mounted switch series (Busch-Jaeger) to trigger automations. I have not found such device until now, and i am wondering, if i have to build my own device.
Does someone know such a device?
Hi, welcome to the forum!
Have you tried by searching ‘in-wall zigbee switch’?
If you just want something to use as a trigger, there are plenty of Zigbee buttons that can be used.
If you want to connect a physical switch with on/off detection, I use the Aqara MCCGQ11LM, remove the reed switch and solder leads to connect to your contact switch of choice.
They are perfect for adding light switches when your 130 year old house has the existing ones in awkward places.
Zigbee Aqara Light Switch H2 (single rocker) – Vesternet or use a relay behind the current switches if you want to keep them.
Thanks for your response. Unfortunately these components do not fit my needs.
I do NOT need a switch or a relay, but a device that send something like “button 1 pressed”, “button 2 pressed” (up to 8) to home assistant.
Seems that i have to design it by myself…
Isn’t that a switch?
So you ARE looking for a relay BOARD, kinkony works with HA, so go from there and pick the one that meets your specific needs.
Maybe this one? Looks close enough to the images of Busch-Jaeger switches I’ve seen online Namron 4512721 control via MQTT | Zigbee2MQTT
They state not needing a switch or a relay…
Can any of you make something out of it?
They really have 3 options… a wall switch as per Shadowfists link, a multi action button that is battery powered or a 8ch relay board based on where they need to fit it.
Everything is a switch or relay as its an action and the press or toggle event is UI side. People need to stop over-complicating requests for things and then saying no when they are given out of box solutions.
No, the request needs to make sense. I am not sure what you are asking for.
I think you are asking for a touch-switch that has no relay and just sends data to Home Assistant?

That one is added to my suggestion box for the future if folks don’t want to go the shelly or other touch panel route. Good find.
