Waveshare ESP32-S3-Touch-LCD-7 image compressed vertically?

Hello, I’m new to ESPHome but I have managed to set up and flash a Waveshare ESP32-S3-Touch-LCD-7 with a basic interface with some circular buttons. The issue is the entire display appears to be squished vertically as the buttons look slightly oblong. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it just an aspect of the hardware? Here is the display code I am using.

        - 47 #g6
        - 21 #g7

That’s the standard configuration for theses displays so I would bet that is not your issue.

The dot pitch of these screens is slightly different vertically vs horizontally. A 180 pixel diameter circle is for instance 35mm wide and 32.5mm high.

It’s something I can live with but I guess it could be annoying for some.

Thank you for the input. That’s what I figured, just an aspect of the lcd hardware. I guess I’ll try to avoid circular buttons, or try to calculate the dot pitch and compensate in my button design? Definitely annoying.
Does anyone know if the waveshare 7B is any better?
