Way to proceed, homey or seperate usb sticks

Hi all,

I’m working on integrating my existing stuff into Home Assistant. Whereas a developer HA feels better to develop my smart home on, Homey has all the bells and whistles inside.

I’m looking for the proper choice to move forward. I could either have Z-wave and Zigbee connectors attached to my system running HA (Windows with VM on an always-on machine) or have a homey running in the background.

The upside of homey is the ease and the already integrated connections. (since I made the cost already anyways)
The downside is another point of failure. Already read things of not syncing properly and does it provide a delay maybe?

Curious about your ideas.
