WD500Z dimmer shows as on when it is actually off

I just moved over to HomeAssistant from SmartThings so i am pretty new to the platform, but am loving it so far. I have migrated all of my Z-Wave devices to expose into HomeKit, so far it all works well with the exception of a dimmer that I have.

When i turn the light on through HomeAssistant UI or HomeKit, the device turns on fine and dim’s to the last power level. However when turning it off, it will dim fine, however it will immediately go back to saying it is powered on when it is not. As soon as i click the toggle button again though in the HomeAssistant UI, it changes to off and stays there.

I have searched the forums and there seem to be a few recommendations about setting the refresh_value to “true”, however i am running HASSIO and there are no guides that i can find to manually editing the config files.

I am running OpenZwave 0.8.0 and the latest stable version (2021.1.1). Is there a way to manually edit the XML files in HASSIO to change any of these values to hopefully fix my problem?
