We are back to 90ties HTML table hell

Im trying to make a “advanced” Lovelace layout, using card-mod, card-tools and other helpful tools.
But im finding it nearly impossible to maintain and develop the layout. So examplify what I mean, these are the last rows on one Lovelace view:

                                    type: horizontal-stack
                                type: vertical-stack
                            type: horizontal-stack
                        type: vertical-stack
                    type: horizontal-stack
                type: vertical-stack
            column_num: 2
            layout: horizontal
            max_columns: 2
            max_width:
              - 500px
              - 100%
            type: 'custom:nest-layout-card'
        type: vertical-stack
    icon: 'mdi:monitor-dashboard'

With all those vertical and horizontal stack piling up in the end, inserting a new hor/vert stack is nearly impossible.

Are there any helper-tools out there that Im not aware of? Kinda like a Lovelace mockup-wysiwyg tools? It feels like were back to the 90ties with endless rows of </TD>, </TR>

Switch to yaml mode. You’ll maintain the location of the attributes instead of the system placing them alphabetically.

Also, look into using anchors, they’ll shorten your config if you have repeating cards.

If you’re after fine control over your layout, have a look at the Lovelace layout card.

Layout card was a really good idea! Thanks.
