Trying to set-up my honey’s watch.
So I set it up, seemed to be doing stuff, added a couple of favorites, all good.
I then tried to run a favorite, and it flashed, said go to the companion app.
Now the watch just has either go to the NC address, or add address manually. Either button takes me to the Wear device setting screen where my options are favorites or template tiles. Anything I change there means nothing. I can’t change to the local url for the watch, and clicking the NC address that it figured out by itself, which also worked for a while both just pop me to that screen where the options have nothing to do with adding the address again.
What do I need to do to recover…
I restarted the phone, I deleted the favorites, I added some favorites back. No idea what the template tile thing is so didn’t touvh that.
this is one of the reasons I don’t have one of these things.
try restarting phone and watch

OK, looked it up, didn’t know we could do that… Well see…

That did it. I thought maybe…
Thanks for the help.
yea sometimes the connection to the Google API gets backed up and the only method to solve is to restart both devices
I clearly have too many entities for this…
I was able to get her a few favorites.
Fan control is a bit wonky.
It’s a rev 6 device.
if you see the app crashing then yes you may be hitting a known issue: https://github.com/home-assistant/android/issues/3325 after you setup favorites on the watch app settings you can turn on “show favorites only” and that will stop the crashing.
Fan control is very basic but you should be able to control the speed: https://companion.home-assistant.io/docs/wear-os/#more-details
the shortcuts tile is great for quickly turning things on/off but it does not show the state of the entity due to wear OS limitations. Another option is to add a device as a complication which will show its latest state when the screen turns on

Thanks for the shortcuts only tip, I’ll use that.
The fan has a slider and the fan up and fan down. The slider seemed stuck at 66% and the + button set it to 100%, the - button set to 33%. Nothing was doing off or 66%
A Tasmota ifan02 controller.
