Setup:
OS: HA OS Version 17.1
Core Version: 2026.2.3
Infrastructure: VM in ESXi
I’ve seen several articales which indicate that other people are having problem with the UI running but the solutions haven’t helped.
I’ve seen references to entso-e - No idea what this is so i’m 99% confident that this is not the issue.
I’ve rebooted the VM - no change
I’ve run “core update” which was successful but no change
I’ve run “restart --safe-mode” - the UI still does not load
No additional plugins or integrations have been added/removed before or since the issue started.
Any ideas please?
Thanks
No I can’t.
No settings or IP addresses have changed, no firewall rules or blocks either
Check the console, see what IP it reports. Any vlan setup?

I dont know why the majority of problems come from installations on VM or Proxmox.
The IP is the correct local IP, as it always has been.

Heading to https://192.168.x.x:8123 (or http)
Just times out.
Seems so. No idea why though.
I’ve been running HA on a VM for the last 5 years with very little issue.
It’s a network issue if it does not respond to ping. Have you tried accessing from another device?
Can you access the ESXI ? , any other VM’s on the Machine ?

Yes I can.
I can access the Home Assistant VM via the ESXI console.
I can also access any/all of the other VM’s that are running on that server.
There are currently 8 VM’s running, all are working fine except Home Assistant
Take a snapshot, shut down the vm. Remove the network card, and add a new network card. See if you can ping that when the vm is back up.

What OS/browser do you use? Isn’t it Safari in macOS Tahoe, by chance?
If so try to access your HA either by home http://assistant.local:8123 (do not use IP), or, even better, if you have reverse proxy configured in your network use public URL.
