First of all, awesome work @randr. Your project is what convinced me to start building my own dashboard.
Unfortunately, I’m pretty new to this, and despite help from Claude and Gemini, I can’t seem to get the same look as yours. The Bubble Cards aren’t displaying the right calendars, and I can’t figure out how to customize the calendar view like you did… in short, I’m not getting very far.
Would you be able to help me out and maybe share the code for the card shown in the screenshot? That would really help me move forward!
Ugh, having a hard time selling this one to the wife over just the Google Calendar app, haha. Trying to better understand the local calendar integration as well but we have so many kids sports apps that just sync directly to Google I’m not sure theres a better option.
Other solutions have achieved editing via delete and recreate workflows. It’s not perfect, additional attendees get blown away, but it otherwise works.
That’s good to know. I really wanted to push everything through home assistant in Kiosk mode, as we need chores and groceries management as well as well but I’m not sure the pros outweigh the cons at this point.
Correct only thing you cannot do is edit a Google Calendar event. You can delete and add events NOT edit. Use your phone if editing is needed and use this to display events. Editing events basically recreates the event(Google) and is not ideal so that’s why it’s not enabled for now
