Weird 8AM data anomoly with Riemann Sum Integral Sensor on Energy Dashboard

Hi all, following @del13r write up (Enphase Envoy on 2024.4), and it works great… EXCEPT… now I’m getting an 8 AM data anomaly that doesn’t quite make sense.

The return to grid number (5.08 kWh) is far greater than what is being generated (1.44 kWh), which isn’t possible. This has happened now for several days in a row. 8AM should show orange above the 0 line, representing the consumption demand being provided by the solar energy produced.

Here is the Riemann sensor data for the Wednesday time:

And here is the power export template sensor that feeds into the Riemann:

Any ideas? Is the Riemann sum integral sensor doing something weird at this time?

Thanks
Scott

Used method: left to reduce approximation errors.

The write up suggested right. Why would left be better (I tried to google the difference but I’m not super familiar)

Either left or right would be better than trapezoidal for your type of spiky power waveform.

Left will slightly under estimate, right will slightly over estimate, See: Calculating Watts / Kw and KWh - #3 by petro

So you think that what’s happening here

combined with a right sum approach is what results in the over estimation of energy for the 8am reporting bar?
