My wemo dimmer (F7C059) is seen by hass-io (I can see it finding the serial number in the logs so I know it can find the device), but it is not displayed in the UI.
-i’ve tried adding wemo: i’ve tried reverting to discovery:
-i’ve tried changing the name
Hi, did you get anywhere with this? I just upgraded from 63 to latest and my wemo dimmer is recognized as a wemo switch although the logs indicate otherwise. If fact all wemo lights are shown as switches. Downside is the dimmer control slider is missing.
Just figured this out. The port 49153 was not in the router’s firewall port forwarding. Never needed it before but it does now. When this is done, the light shows up with the ‘light.’ prefix.
I’m specifying the Ip of my dimmers which seems to help, but I must say they appear and disappear randomly. Switching from wifi to Ethernet on the pi running hassio helped as well.
I used to specify in static: the IP of all my wemo devices before I updated to 0.85. After the update all the light components would show up as switches. I now only use the IP in static: for my non switches and let the auto discovery handle the switches, works fine now.
