i just installed HA Green in my house and realized that I need to add a bluetooth dongle so it can discover my August door lock.
Which dongle is compatible and reliable?
HA is in the basement and door lock is on first floor. Are there some that have stronger antennas and can reach farther?
Or should I get an ethernet bridge from August instead and forget about BT?

Another option is an ESPHome Bluetooth proxy. Bluetooth - Home Assistant The advantage of this is that it is not tied to your HA box and you can put it closer to the lock if you have network available there (or wifi though it is better to use wired).

You’ve saved me a lot of time.
Connecting a dongle to the HA Green looks like the best solution for my situation. It looks like the Sena UD100-G03 is readily available to me. Now to figure out if this is plug and play or needs drivers.
