What is the white box with 2 leads on it? Absolutely nothing to find on internet. It is an AVATTO LZWSM16-W2 2 gang switch.
It could be a capacitor, but it is quite large for that.
Maybe a battery to power the smart features in no-neutral installations.
Just a wild guess though!
No manual with it ?
normally I’d guess a dimmer compensation module / stabilizer to prevent flicker and/or prevent leds that won’t turn off completelly. It is somewhat big for that.
Something like this (from your name I guess Dutch isn’t a problem):
However, I would not expect one delivered with a switch, unless it uses some weird switching system without relays.
When looking at the box, did that say wifi? Is it a wifi controllable switch (to operate the zigbee module by wire
)
I see no connection for “neutral”, so it could be something like a Bypass, see also https://homesmart.sg/neutral-vs-no-neutral-smart-switches/
The manual did not mention it, neither on website. tried to contact the company but no reply
Ok, although it seems it was glued together it really wasn 't. So, it seems just like an RC filter, but why a NTC? and why does it come with this and nowhere mentioned
It is to be used when connected without a neutral wire, like @jhol-byte already wrote.
Check this out:
AVATTO ZWSM16/LZWSM16 Zigbee Smart Switch Module with and without Neutral Wire
But it indeed is strange that this is not mentioned at all in the user manual.
Ok, thanks it is indeed in the video at the last part, but strange because I just replaced an existing order from the past, and it didn’t came with this.
