What WIRED router do I need to have reserved IP with?

I have a Unifi AP LR for my access point, but I need just a WIRED router that allows me to reserve the IP clients MAC address to it. Also I need it to have the ability to reserve many IP more than just the total number of wired ports that are on the actual router itself.

Any suggestions?

Just about any router that has a DHCP server can do this. Assuming you have a router, I suspect it can.

If you have a spare raspberry pi lying around you can install pihole and have it handle dhcp, but this is assuming you can turn off dhcp on your current router.

I set all my fixed IPs on my Synology when my Netgear router ran out of ‘space’.
In the meanwhile, I bought an Ubiquiti EdgeRouter and am very happy with it.
I’ve been thinking about moving the IP address handling onto it and one of these days, I will actually do it. Seems straightforward enough.

Thanks forsquirel for that tid-bit. I will look into that.

chairstacker, nice call on the Ubiquiti EdgeRouter. Since I have their Access Point unit I should have thought to look into theirs. But what I did however go with, was the “TP-Link SafeStream TL-R600VPN” router. For it can connect up to 256 DHCP clients. SWEEEEET!
