I have a couple of devices that require local quirks to run.
With one, the device is fully operational, and I get access to all the sensors and controls I need.
The other is an aqara t1 (with neutral) switch module. Without a quirk, its seen as a light bulb, but at least with the quirk, its detected properly as a switch, but all of its power monitoring attributes, whilst visible, are reporting as zero or unknown.
At some point, I assume the device will be supported in Home assistant core, removing the need for a local quirk.
So how do I go about checking if I have the latest quirk, or core support for the device, without constantly checking each week ? Do I have to monitor the release notes for each update ?
And do local quirks always take precedence over core support ?
Cheers
