Just received the retirement warning for Python 3.9.7 and a gentle reminder to move to Python 3.10. I did those upgrades a few times, no problem - but: I’m lazy (Software Engineer :)… So, can I skip a version and go to the latest greatest (currently 3.11.1) or is there a hard 3.10.x requirement ?
And just to not bother you great developers all the time: is there a Home Assistant page / GitHub / blog location where the max-python version is visible? Google failed me there.

Currently go with Python 3.10(.9). Python 3.11 support isn’t fully there yet.
There’s nowhere it’s published, but you can use the version of Python used by the Docker image as your guide.

Hi Tinkerer,
Thanks, these are really useful links for future use!
I’ll move to 3.10.7 now as listed and enjoy that for some time.
Also I now can observe any updates even before they become mandatory
Thanks so much!
