I have Home Assistant Core v. 2022.12.8
I need to change my home location, but from UI it is not possible because a message says that the location is defined in configuration.yaml, but if I check the configuration file, there are no zones defined. If I insert manually a home zone called “Home” as stated in the documentation, I get two different home zones.
It is set in the homeassistant: section in configyaml
I actually had to add my lat/lon there to get a more precise reading for location purposes
No lat or lon definendo in home-assistant section, but I can try to add them and see if I can change the location in this way. Thank you
As soon as you have a section homeassistant: in configyaml, then you can not use the gui for this anylonger. You can also comment-out this section, restart and do the settings again from the GUI.
The data is stored in .storage/core.conf (which you ideally should not edit…as any file in this folder)
