When I first setup my HA instance I got these ones and they have been working perfectly for my needs so far:

There are different sensor types with pros and cons to each.
PIR sensors react fast to movement, but have a hard time detecting objects only moving slightly.
PIR is good for turning the lights on when entering a room, but not to keep the lights on when being inside the room in a stationary position, like when watching TV in the living room or doing your big thing in the toilet.
mmWave sensors are good at detecting small movements, even the rise of a chest when breathing, but they are slower to react initially and the power usage of the mmWave technology makes it unsuitable for battery powered devices.
There are combinations that takes the best from both worlds, but the configuration of this combination can mean it is impossible to run it without the vendor’s app, since it might require setting up things in their GUI.
@WallyR Tks a lot for those details about which is good for what etc
Have a good one !
