Whole house water usage and leak detection

I haven’t found much in the way of recent posts on this topic. Seems like Phyn has been the leading contender, followed by Moen Flo, but I have seen all sorts of bad reports on on both systems and not many happy users (some issues with the devices themselves and other issues with HA integratiuon or connectuion via Z-Wave, WiFi, or cloud). I’m getting ready to replace a whole-house point-of-entry water filtartion system, so this would be the obvious time to have the plumber install whatever inline device makes sense, if there is one. Has anyone actually had good success with any product for this?

I installed Ai-on-the-edge on my legacy water meter.
Cost are around 15.-

It is accurate to around 0.05 liter (basically less than half a glas of wine).
To detect a leak, I use an automation that will alert me if the flow of water doesn’t go to Zero for a set time (currently I use 30 min).

Data are sent to HA via MQQT.

All you need now is a motorized valve (30,-) that will close the mains through a shelly 1 (or similar), if HA thinks there is leak .

Additionally I still use my old Shelly floods in critical areas (behind dishwasher and washing machine) - in case they report a flood it also closes the main valve.

I have one of these for the house water:

For my gas meter and irrigation (separate meter) they both have spinning magnets so I use this on those:

I did try the Ai-on-the-edge on my irrigation meter. I just couldn’t get very consistent readings. Plus, that meter is read manually so I couldn’t cover it.

I use a Zooz Titan to turn off the water and a bunch of Zooz leak detectors.
