Why does my Generic Thermostat (with Zigbee Thermostat and plug) ignore maximum runtime setting once a day?

Hi, my generic thermostat setup, which uses a sonoff temperature sensor to switch an oil heater on and off via a zigbee power plug, seems to ignore it’s maximum runtime about once a day and I can’t work out why. Any ideas?
