Why does the Bluetooth adapter fail after the update?

After the update it would not switch the Bluetooth adapter to active scanning mode and it would get stuck in passive mode, the hardware is an RPi 4B

(Yes I have tried to physically restart it and left it unplugged for the amount of time it specified)

I’m having this exact issue. have you figured out a solution?

Sadly, not yet

I have the same issue but managed to manually select passive mode in the Bluetooth settings to get rid of the notification
