My TRVZBs have been turned off for the summer and now when I wanted to start them on a schedule I can’t boot them up.
They are only showing iN on the display and nothing seems to start. 1 started once with F5 error ( no valve detected ) but when I turned it off and started it back up it got back to iN.
My (recent) experience with a Sonoff TRVZB that has been used with HA before:-
Install the batteries.
The display flashes iN for a short period. Then shows iN steady for a short period, then goes blank.
At this point, mount the TRV on a radiator valve
Short press on the top dial.
It does a calibration cycle, then displays the setpoint temperature for a short while. Then goes blank.
If it displays LC, it’s in Local Control lockout.
Push the top button for three seconds to toggle lockout off.
Turning the knob then will adjust the setpoint temperature, which it displays.
The f/w version on mine are 1.4.1 and they work as I want them to.
The latest is 1.4.44 but I don’t want the adaptive ‘features’.
You do have it mounted on your valve? Because F5 error shows if the head is not mounted on valve and it can’t detect valve’s pin moving (it seems that it detects pin resistance when closing). If you’re holding it in your hands it won’t work.
