Even on a brand new dashboard it appears twice.

I’m not sure why either, but it seems to be a new bug related to hiding the sidebar for narrow windows. Try resizing your browser width until the sidebar disappears, then move it back. After doing that I only have the 1 expected icon in the sidebar.
Works until the next refresh, thx. Hope someone can fix this in an upcoming release
Hey good news, looks like this was coming from lovelace-wallpanel and explains why it wasn’t more widely noticed. The latest update fixed it for me which includes this change.

For me that did’nt solve it, ended up deleting al my HACS forntend integrations and then it was solved. so not a clear idea wich one was the culprit
