I use the energy dashboard to calculate how much money I am making with my solar system. I dont know since when and what I did, but I just noticed, that the values dont make any sense. Both used from grid and returned to grid costs/money made is too low. Does anybody know what I did wrong and how to fix?
Thanks
The Cost value in the Energy dashboard is an accumulation. So my guess is that the static prices you entered for ‘from grid’ and ‘to grid’ were established recently? So the costs shown would be ‘from that point in time onwards’. ??
In other words the cost is not ‘calculated’ by multiplying (say) a month view by the static values.
The accumulation occurs every hour when the energy data is collected every hour.
Nope, the issue also exists on a day by day basis. The values were not changed for multiple weeks
Sorry can’t help. Was only an educated guess from the limited information you supplied above.
If you could supply say a graph of the input sensor(s) you are using for grid consumption and/or grid ‘production’ that might help. Are the values for these accurate? How are they collected? etc.
It would be best to see the attributes of the energy dashboard sensors as well. For example my ‘to grid’ sensor looks like this:
