With what?
Won’t fit in my phone.
Joking aside- (but you kind-of asked for it), if you have a PCI-E slot in your PC, any WiFi adapter card will work.
While you can have more than one network interface in your PC (I have four in my desktop), it can be confusing. So, remove the existing WiFi card if installed. (Or disable it in the BIOS).
My apologies, I over estimated the line “Using cmd lspci | grep -i wireless populates no results” .
Is the adapter compatible with HAOSS in a bare metal system? / will it be recognized?
It’s an old PC build I’m using as a baremetal system and as far as i can tell the WIFI adapter isn’t recognized by HAOSS. It doesn’t show when using the cmd ‘lspci | grep -i wireless’
Apologies. HAOSS Bare metal system.
The network interface compatibility depends on the host computer BIOS. The OS is irrelevant. By the way, on my Intel NUC, the Wireless adapter is called " Network controller" in the output of lspci. Try lspci | grep -i network
While you can run Home Assistant over WiFi, it is discouraged.
