I have some zwave light switches that can be configured in HA to perform different (and even unrelated actions) with double or triple up or down taps. This is helpful to turn on HA connected lamps or other HA connected auxiliary lighting with one switch. For reasons of distance - I am forced to use a wifi switch at one location - and am looking for a wifi switch that can pull this off - AND - can be cloud free.
On your suggestion I picked up a preflashed with tasmoto wifi switch from Athom. (I also got a handful of bulbs). Now - maybe I’m just looking for the same settings as when I set up my zwave switches - but I’m not finding options in the tasmoto options to add double tap or long press actions. The switch works fine turning on/off the physically attached lights - but was hoping to pull off some control of other devices with a double tap etc. Any help would be appreciated.
I love a good rabbit hole - usually the case with HA integrations! So - I switched the tasmota switch over to ESPHome. I have it showing up in HA now as an ESPHome device with the on/off functionality. But I’m seemingly back to where I was before - not obviously able to add double tap functionality. Is this a pure yaml thing or is there a blueprint I can use? @stevemann you’ve been helpful - hopefully you can get me over this last hurdle!
