Wifi Signal strength decreases liniair with current temperature

So this was weird today.
Its for the first time in my home assistant adventure that the temperature has a average of 38°C.

I updated the core and esp home to the newest version but some devices are not pingable anymore.
I tought initially because of the update so i went for a search and ran some tests.
Narrowed the problem down to: The Wifi on devices further away is not stable anymore.

I found this article, that was totaly new to me:

Long story short. If its hot! the RSSI level decreases linearly.
I hope this post will prevent someone going in to panic mode.

Have a nice day!

What makes you think that experiments done with Panstamp 2.0 NRG wireless modules with built-in 868 MHz CC1101 radio are applicable to ESP 2.4 GHz modules?

This was about the ESP32 in my garden shed and after some testing and reading some articles that was my conclusion. I was happy, solved it so i tought share it.
So i understand i missunderstood?

It worked in 15-30 deg c for more than a month without any interuption.
Problem was solved after connecting to a AP nearby.

Thanks for your information
I was really convinced that this was a possible explanation.

Glass sphere question.
What do you think this can be?

I have a couple of ESP modules in my roof space where the temperature can vary from 0 to 40 C.

Signal strengths are pretty constant.

Next time you lose contact with an ESPHome device after updating, try reloading the device integration on the Devices & Services → Integrations page.
