Hi, I have my NAS with HA installed downstairs and my SMLIGHT SLZB-06 connected upstairs to my mesh router for my zha network in my bedroom and everything is working great, I was wondering if I plug in my old Sonoff Zigbee Dongle-P directly to the nas will that create a new zha network downstairs or just even connect to my current network upstairs and extend it to downstairs

ok so I can only have 1 coordinator, if I flash the dongle as a router and connect it via usb to the nas, would that allow it to connect to my existing network upstairs
In theory this will work, but there are a lot of variables (distance, coverage, building materials and so on) so you will only know once you test for yourself. But yes, this is a possibility. Also as a router (not a coordinator) you are not transfering any data over USB so you don’t need to plug it into your NAS, any USB port with constant power (chargers, TV ++) can be used. Remember that you need to pair it to the existing Zigbee network also.
