Wire in module for lights that can survive power dimming

Strange request here. I have 4 dimmable LED (read, not screw in bulbs) can lights wired to a single switch. That switch is a dimmable Z-wave switch that works well with the lights currently.

What I would like is a zwave or zigbee direct wire in module that I can wire to ONE light only for control of that light. Basic on and off only. The problem is that the module has to survive being dimmed. I had tried this about 9 years ago and the module I used, I forget the brand, survived about a month before dying. (Luckily in the ‘on’ state.) I have to believe SOMEONE has tried this. Rewiring the romex in the attic is just NOT something I want to do, but there is TONS of space in the can light housing for a module. Yeah it’s metal and there might be signal issues but I might be able to work that out.

Thoughts? Ideas? Sanity?

Follow up on the fact that this probably isn’t sane.

Shelly says their modules need constant 120v AC and cannot behave with stepped down power from the wall dimmer. They also do NOT suggest wiring in their low voltage modules after the LED driver as well, for reasons I don’t quite understand.

I think this may be the same for any other modules as well so I have wasted your time and you should probably be angry about that.

Oh well.
