Wiser floor thermostat min/max guards

I have a bunch of Schneider Electric Wiser Exxact thermostats (WDE002497). I am able to pair them via ZHA to home assistant (kudos to the community making this possible). I can’t however quite figure out how the min/max settings should work (or should they). I have electric heating with floor sensors.

I can set the min/max set points, but they seem to only impact the range for users setting the “asking temp”. What I’d like to set is guard temps for the floor sensor.

Also some of the settings are not really clear for me:

  • What does “local temperature source” do?
  • What does “thermostat application” (Floor / OccupiedSpace / NotKnown) do?

P6: Local temp source: Ambient, Application: OccupiedSpace
P8: Local temp source: External, Application: Floor

Still unsure about the guard temps. My guess is it’s unsupported.

Automate it? Figure out how high and low you want them to be set, if set beyond those limits have the automation set the temperature back to your values.

Suppose it’s possible. My thinking was, if controlled by the thermostat, it would already do it in a smart way and wouldn’t have to trouble my head about it.

Probably I’ll just live without it.
