WLED integration question about brightness

I’m using the core integration to control a wled device. I assume the intensity slider in the HA device should control the brightness of the LEDs, but moving the slider does nothing on the device. I can readily adjust the brightness in the native wled interface.

  1. Am I wrong about the purpose of intensity slider?
  2. Does it work for others?
  3. Is there a different approach to controlling brightness?

Any insights would be appreciated.

Intensity is to do with the effects intensity, brightness is controlled in the info section of the on off button.

This can also be set in automations.
