I’ve set up some WLEDs on ESP32 boards and the WLED interfact (app and web page) control them just fine but I’m having problems with HA. At 1st, I struggled to have effects take effect using HA, and assumed it was clashing with the phone app. Didn’t think much of it as it mostly worked whilst testing.
Now physically installed, all HA will do it switch them on and off (“Main”). I can move sliders like slave and master etc, and I can change effects - just it doesn’t actually happen! I’ve restarted HA, and I’ve restarted the WLEDs (via the restart button in the HA entity list) but am stuck.
Any suggestions? I’ve done a fair bit of searching to no avail.
ESPs are on the latest 1.15.1 FW too.
The HA control worked for a while, then nada! Just “Main” power control
I would add - after more playing - its’ really odd.
I can have the web pages for HA open on my PC, and the app (HA) open on my phone. Clicking the power (Main) for a WLED results in the switch briefly going off (in the entity), then it toggles itself back on. It will NOT switch off. But on the phone the switch behaves as it should and works - and its position is not reflected in the phone app. Its like I’m running two seperate systems!
I swear something is overriding the HA plugin. If I select different effects on my phone (HA) the led strip flickers momentarilly, but does nothing.
