Wrong Consumption?

Hi,

In my picture you can see there is 1.63KW coming from solar, charging the battery with 1.19KW. So I think my consumption should be 1.63-1.19=0.44KW and not 1.63+1.19.

Consumption can never be less then zero?

Or do I make a mistake here?

Thanks.

Did some more research. Looks like consumption is the sum of all.

I think you should adjust your configuration, consumption is indeed the sum of all, however, since you mentioned the solar is charging the battery, your battery power sensor needs to be inverted.
As specified on the configuration page it’s said that a battery power sensor that is charging should be negative instead of positive.

As seen on my system, consumption stays relatively constant, but I can see power is going to my battery

I’m using 3 sensors. Charging energy, discharging energy and the power from the battery which is positive or negative.

When I choose Inverted the battery graphic is gone.

Yes, I think configuring inverted means Home Assistant will create a new sensor, with it’s own statistics. So only after statistics (every 5 minutes) has been generated will it show up correctly.

Thanks.
Now I can see the battery charging from solar.
