agreed, but unfortunately HA’s native Groups are 99% useless. If native Groups had these features no one would need to make hacks/workarounds for different types of groups…
Ask:
Groups to have built-in option to auto-sync state and all values: attributes like state (on, off, custom values, etc), lighting values (effects, brightness, RGB color, color temperature, etc),
‘last’ attributes for each items in #1 above: Last State, Last value, Last Change Day/Time
attribute for ‘Entity forcing sync’ which records what Entity changed (which caused the Group to sync values) and the value of that change
When Groups have the above features, they are very powerful…
