WTH area based presence handled by HA for nice Dashbord and easy automation

I wish for a HA standard for handling the presence in an area.
It should show a nice icon on the area card on the dashbord.
It would also help the users to use a more advanced concept, by using presence for automations instead of events from i.e. a PIR.
It should be possible to assign several sensors to this presence Device/entity. Maybe a room has a camera and a PIR or even more sensors, maybe its a very small room with just a door sensor to detect presence.

Yeah, I like this. Kind of like Zone’s work but using some sensor mappings.

Thank you for pointing that out. Looks promising. Maybe some of it can be implemented in HA Core.
