WTH isn't there an "everything about a device/entity"

As a complete newcommer to HA (and I’m loving it, by the way, many thanks for all the work) I find myself having to click around to find things.

One example, I need to adjust the threshold for my temperature sensors in order to calibrate them and I find myself clicking around to find things. I appreciate to someone who has used HA for some time, where to find things is second nature but to someone like me who is new to the concepts, it’s a struggle.

Devices??

You have accepted my challenge  … now … where, from there, do you click to access the options to calibrate a temperature sensor! Clue - it’s not the pencil in the top right. But I do know I hit those options somewhere.

I have never seen a calibration option anywhere.
Perhaps that is something Z2M has? But ZHA doesn’t

Bingo. That statement pointed me where I needed to look. If it wasn’t in HA, then would it be in Zigbee. And lo and behold, that’s where it was.

I think the core question remains, however. Whether the HA core team would be able to address it and put all the settings for every device on the device’s own HA page, given the massive range of devices that can be connected… that’s another matter.

Zigbee2MQTT would need to provide those settings, which it isn’t. If your request is for this, it will be closed because HA has no control over the information that Z2M provides.
