HA is expected to run in our houses for years. Over the years devices stop working and get replaced. A hardware exchange will break statistical history.
For example, you used to have a P1 cable in your RPI to readout power/gas consumptions and you replaced this by a Homewizard dongle.
There is no support that helps copying historical data in database from old to new entity.
