I really dislike adding new dashboards. I have a lot of entities in my system and the auto-generated dashboard just takes forever to generate and populate. Dashboards should be created empty with an option to allow them to be auto-populated instead of the other way around!
I’m not sure how long this forever is but definitely it would be great to ask user if it needs a populated or empty dashboard. Right now it is a extra click when you start editing a new dashboard where you can choose to “Start with an empty dashboard”. This selection should be in the first “Add dashboard menu”
My forever here is definitely a euphemism, but it’s long enough that the browser pops up a dialog (twice over!) thinking that the page has failed asking me if I want to cancel the load or wait.

Let’s go with, more than I can easily count. Somewhere north of 1000 though nearly all of them are due to having 7 smart locks configured via Keymaster since I Airbnb several of the rooms in my house. No, I don’t have all the slots for each lock defined in Keymaster either, just the number I need for everything to work sanely.

Forgive my yelling and hyperbole… but… THIS IS THE DUMBEST F—KING THINGI HAVE EVER HEARD OF. If I am not fast enough in terms of opening the dashboard, clicking editing and selecting “start with empty dashboard” and clicking okay then the tab I am using runs out of memory, OH OH OH, and because of how chrome works, it crashes any other tabs that are opened to HA. I have 128gb of DDR4 in my desktop. Still an issue in Q3 2023.
