WTH Why can't the energy dashboard multi-day Individual Devices graph show hourly totals

Currently when you view a single day you see the hourly usage and can identify when a particular device used how much energy.

When you view multiple days you just get the total for each day.

It would be very useful if you could see how much a device uses in total for each hourly window across the time period as then you would know what time a device was typically used. And you could also see when are the greatest windows of demand.

This is a great idea since comparing values with historic ones are necessary to be able to spot trends and patterns.
However this need does not stop at hourly comparisons for days.

If you look at a month it would be interesting to be able to compare this to iter the previous month day by day or hour by hour or that month an other year (Jan 24 with Jan 23) , day by day.

The same is true for yearly comparison with month to month with options for daily or weekly summary stacks.

Since we are talking comparisons here we also need to look at other sensors that would be nice in this same view. The hourly outdoor, indoor, room temperatures for example. If we are looking at the energy usage för heating in a room, its important to also relate it to the outside temperature this month and the one we are comparing it to. (be it the previous one or the same an other year jan 24, jan 23, temperatures in jan 23 and jan 24. This way we can analyse the core reason behind an increased or decreased energy usage comparing these to periods with each other.

Whilst I don’t disagree with your idea my WTH is just about being able to view the aggregate hourly energy consumption for the selected period. So it wouldn’t matter what period is selected all of the energy for 0000-0100 would be totalled and displayed and so on,
